In the 2020/21 academic year, a total of 60 students from the Master of Science in Personal Health Management (MHM) programme took part in the “Discipline x Healthy Lifestyle: Design & Delivery of Learning Activities for Secondary School Students” initiative launched by the Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning with the support of Jiangsu Hong Kong Cultural Association. The students worked in nine different teams to design a series of learning activities which aim at introducing the health management concepts of Chinese medicine to younger students and highlighting the importance of adopting healthy habits at an early age. The activities were conducted online in real time as well as face-to-face in five secondary schools. The participating students were recognised for their creativity, commitment and professionalism in applying their disciplinary knowledge in promoting healthy lifestyle among the young students. One of the teams even won the Discipline x Healthy Lifestyle Silver Award.
