On April 8, 2025, esteemed Yale University Professors John Allen Grim and Mary Evelyn Tucker visited the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology at Hong Kong Baptist University. They were invited to present at the 2025 Distinguished Sinologist Lecture with two keynote lectures highlighting their extensive research and insights in environmental humanities and ethnobiology. The lectures attracted enthusiastic participation from local scholars, environmental practitioners, and university faculty and students. The lively discussion sessions were thought-provoking and stimulating. During their visit, the two professors also engaged in dialogues with researchers at the Academy on topics such as cross-cultural communication, ecological civilization, and humanistic care.
