HKBU delegation visits Shenzhen Pingshan on technology transfer and development exchanges

A HKBU delegation, led by Prof. Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer, and including members Mr Tobby Fu, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of ITPR, and Dr Lin Chengyuan, Assistant Director of Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development, attended an exchange meeting about Shenzhen-Hong Kong universities collaboration and development on 3 March at the Shenzhen Technology University (深圳技術大學). The delegation met the representatives of Technology and Innovation Bureau, Pingshan District (坪山科創局), Shenzhen Research Institute of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (深圳北京中醫藥大學研究院), and Shenzhen Technology University, to explore potentials and opportunities for further collaborations and development.

Following the sharing by Mr Tobby Fu on the University's latest technology innovation and transfer in key research clusters, collaborative research platforms and the leading development of Chinese medicine, the parties discussed about collaboration on drug discovery and application, biomedical development and postgraduate programmes, and looked forward to working together in translating research outputs into real-life use and nurturing more talents for the field.
