The Division of Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Programmes and the Hong Kong Playground Association jointly organised the “Co-Explore Hong Kong Secondary School Transdisciplinary Contest”, which encouraged secondary students to explore their personal interests, challenge conventional boundaries, and envision their future career through the creation of board games.
The 180 participating students from Form 3 to 5 rose to the challenge of presenting a total of 46 board games to a panel of 16 transdisciplinary students and 16 colleagues from HKBU during the preliminary round. They also engaged with 12 community partners during the lock-out session before the final competition, which took place in July.
The team from the Church of Christ in China Kei To Secondary School clinched the championship of the contest. Their board game will be featured in a large-scale public exhibition scheduled in September. The teams from the HKSYC&IA Chan Nam Chong Memorial College and the Man Kwan QualiEd College secured the first and second runner-up positions respectively.
The contest was supported by the HKSAR Education Bureau Business-School Partnership Programme and Capstone Boardgame Limited. Please click here for more information.
