University awards emeritus titles and honours retiring staff

Thirteen colleagues were conferred the title of Professor Emeritus by President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin at the Faculty and Staff Assembly held on 31 May in recognition of their distinguished contributions to the University. Retiring colleagues were also honoured on the occasion for their dedicated service to HKBU for 10 or more years.

Communication Studies: Professor Chen Ling, Professor Xiao Xiaosui
English Language and Literature: Professor Terry Yip 
Geography: Professor Li Si-ming 
History: Professor Lam Kai-yin, Professor Lee Kam-keung
Language Centre: Professor Tony Hung, Professor Thomas Littlewood 
Physics: Professor Michel Van Hove
Religion and Philosophy: Professor Lauren Pfister 
Sociology: Professor Michael Barbalet
