The Department of Education Studies invited Mr Tsang Yok-sing, Convenor of the Hong Kong Vision Research Programme and an Honorary Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, to share his insights on the development of Basic Law.

 

In his talk, entitled “Understanding Basic Law Education”, Mr Tsang elaborated on the essence and intended meaning of Basic Law and provided teaching guidelines. Mr Tsang also spoke about the historical development of Basic Law, and also enhanced participants’ understanding of its underlying principles in a way that could facilitate its implementation in schools.
