HKBU receives HK$3 million donation to establish bursary for local students

HKBU received a generous donation of HK$3 million from Mr Cheng Chak-kuen, Chairman of Dongguan Xingye Trade Development Company Limited, for the establishment of the Mr Cheng Chak Kuen Local Students Bursary, set up to support local HKBU students who have financial needs.

 

In recognition of the donor’s generosity, an agreement signing ceremony officiated by Mr Cheng Chak-kuen and Professor Roland Chin, HKBU President and Vice-Chancellor, was held on 26 July 2017. The University representatives attending the ceremony included Associate Vice-President (Engagement) Mr Yeung Chee-kong and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation Mrs Lily Chan.
