The University recently received a generous donation of HK$5 million from Logan Charitable Foundation in support of the School of Chinese Medicine’s research project entitled “Efficacy and Mechanism Study of Artemisinin Derivatives for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases”.
In recognition of the Foundation’s generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony officiated by Chairman of Logan Property Holdings Company Limited Mr Kei Hoi-pang, and HKBU President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin, was held on 26 April.
Guests and HKBU representatives attending the ceremony included Office Director of Logan Property Holdings Company Limited Mr Xiao Dahong; HKBU Associate Vice-President (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Director of Clinical Division of SCM Professor Bian Zhaoxiang; Associate Vice-President (Engagement) Mr Yeung Chee-kong; Dean of Chinese Medicine Professor Lyu Aiping; Associate Head of the Department of Biology Professor Ken Yung; and Director of University Advancement Mrs Lily Chan.
