Over 100 local aspiring principals commence study in HKBU

The Department of Education Studies welcomed 109 participants of the Preparation for Principalship Programme (PFP) at the course commencement held earlier this month.  

 

At the ceremony, Professor Atara Sivan, Head of the Department of Education Studies, highlighted the symbolism of being in the eleventh cohort of PFP, saying it represents “Double number 1”.

 

Mr Cheung Yung-pong, Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Programme and Vice-chairman of Hong Kong Aided Primary School Heads Association, stated that school principals have a key role in school education. He also commended the PFP programme for successfully nurturing many aspiring principals over the past 10 years, saying that it makes a continuous contribution towards the betterment of school education in Hong Kong.

 

At the ceremony, 76 participants were conferred the Needs Analysis certificate.
