To celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Faculty of Social Sciences, a Fun Day was held on 26 November. About 100 guests, staff, alumni and students gathered to share the joyful occasion by visiting the Departments and Offices of the Faculty, playing games, collecting souvenirs and attending the Fun Gathering.
At the Fun Gathering, held near the end of the year-long celebrations, Professor Adrian Bailey, Dean of the Faculty led the birthday bun and roast piglet cutting ceremony with department heads, guests and members of 45th Anniversary Fun Day Organising Committee. Four alumni and staff members displayed their talents by playing the pipa, singing songs, performing wushu and rhythmic gymnastics.
The anniversary celebrations started in January 2016 with an array of activities included essay and video competitions, sports events, conferences, alumni reunions and a time capsule burial.
