University members celebrate diamond jubilee with Lion Rock hiking

Over 200 students, alumni, staff and their family members enjoyed the fun of hiking on 19 November in the “O Southern Sea, O Lion Hill” event to celebrate HKBU’s 60th Anniversary.

Participants took two to three hours to hike up the Lion Rock Hill to demonstrate a balance of work or study and physical activity in line with in HKBU’s commitment to promote a healthy lifestyle and all-round development.

Making reference to the opening line of the University anthem, the “O Southern Sea, O Lion Hill” event was organised by a committee composed of several student organisations, and was supported by Office of Student Affairs, Staff Interest Group, Alumni Affairs Office and the International Office. The event was kicked off on campus by President Roland Chin, Vice-Presidents, Director of Student Affairs and Chairman of the Students’ Union.
