HKBU receives HK$1 million in support of film development

HKBU received a generous donation of HK$1 million from DC Foundation to enhance the teaching facilities of the Academy of Film under the School of Communication and to establish the DC Foundation Scholarship with the aim of nurturing young talents for the industry. The University held a cheque presentation ceremony yesterday (5 October) officiated by Chairman of DC Foundation Ms Diana Chen and HKBU President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin.

Guests in attendance also included the donor’s friend and representatives of DC Foundation; HKBU Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) Dr Albert Chau; Associate Vice-President Professor Frank Fu; and Director of the Academy of Film Professor Emilie Yeh.
