World Leisure Journal (WLJ), an international academic journal on leisure studies led by Professor Atara Sivan, Associate Dean of Social Sciences and Professor of the Department of Education Studies, has been accepted into Scopus, one of the world’s largest abstract and citation databases of peer-reviewed scientific journals and other literature.
Professor Sivan has been serving as the Editor-in-Chief of WLJ for the past four years. Reviewers commend WLJ as “An excellent journal; excellent, well-crafted, well-cited, interesting and containing informative papers”.
Professor Sivan feels proud of this achievement and regards this recognition as a good and stable step forward. She said, “I am grateful for the ongoing support from the Department of Education Studies and the Faculty of Social Sciences which has allowed me the space to make this great contribution. As a dedicated scholar, I pledge to continue undertaking this leadership role which will contribute both to the field of study and the internationalisation of our university.”
