HKBU receives HK$1 million donation to encourage students’ overseas exposure

HKBU received a donation of HK$1 million from the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, designated for the Dr Tan Siu Lin Scholarship to support each year five freshmen who major in History to participate in overseas exchange programmes. The University held a cheque presentation ceremony today (25 May) officiated by Dr Tan Siu Lin, Chairman of the Tan Siu Lin Foundation and also Founder and Chairman of Luen Thai International Group Limited (LTIG) together with Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU.

Also attending the ceremony were Dr Henry Tan, Vice-Chairman; Mr Li Hexie, Secretary General of the Tan Siu Lin Foundation; Mr Christopher Ho, Director of Chairman’s Office of LTIG; Professor Frank Fu, Associate Vice-President of HKBU and Professor Clara Ho, Head of the Department of History.
