HKBU showers warmest blessings on graduating students at annual Baccalaureate Service

The Chaplain’s Office organised its annual Baccalaureate Service today (20 April) to convey its sincerest blessings to the graduating students who will soon embark on a new journey upon completion of their studies and research at HKBU. The honoured tradition also enabled students to express their gratitude to their teachers and bid farewell to their fellow classmates. Professor Ying Fuk-tsang, Director of Divinity School of Chung Chi College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, was invited to share with the audience on the topic “Faith with No Regrets”.

Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, extended his warmest congratulations to the graduating students and said they share a special and memorable moment in HKBU’s history because the year they graduate is the University’s 60th anniversary.

Professor Chin explained that HKBU aims to nurture students to develop their career not only in Hong Kong, but also in other parts of the world. The University is educating talents for the world with a global outlook, broad-based knowledge and a wide range of transferrable skills which are useful for multiple careers. He expressed his hopes for the students to become leaders in their chosen professions and world citizens who will in the future make valuable contributions to society.
