Faculty of Social Sciences kicks off 45th Anniversary Celebration

To celebrate its 45th anniversary, the Faculty of Social Sciences organised on 21 January a kick-off ceremony to launch a series of celebratory activities and the opening of the “Change and Continuity” corridor which records the major developments and memorable moments of the Faculty.

 

On the same day, about 120 staff, students and alumni of the Faculty joined the “3H Color Run”. The three Hs stand for Home, Health and Happiness. The participants were required to run and complete different tasks at checkpoints on various floors of the Academic and Administration Building.  

 

The Faculty New Year Gathering cum Faculty Award Presentation Ceremony was held in the evening after the 3H Color Run to celebrate the New Year and congratulate recipients of the Faculty Award Scheme for Outstanding Performance. 

 

Other celebratory activities in 2016 include Essay and Video Competitions for Alumni, “Guess Who?” Game, Sports Competitions with College of International Education, 4th Global Social Science Graduate Students Conference, 2016 Conference on Youth Divide and Youth Inclusion: Agenda and Alternatives, Lecture Series by Distinguished Alumni, Distinguished Lecture Series, Homecoming Event, Asia Mental Health Conference 2016, burial of time capsule, celebration dinner, and so on.
