HKBU receives HK$2 million to offer language support to non-Chinese speaking students

HKBU has received a pledge of HK$2 million from Eagle Wide Limited in support of the Language Centre’s project entitled “Language Support for Non-Chinese Speaking Students” which aims to assist local non-Chinese speaking students in adapting to the education system and integrating into the community.

 

The University held a cheque presentation ceremony yesterday (26 October) in recognition of the donor’s generosity. Mr Raymond Kwok and Mr Kenneth Kwok, Directors of Eagle Wide Limited and Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU officiated at the ceremony.

 

Guests who attended the ceremony also included Mr Leon Chan, Senior and Managing Partner of Y T Chan & Co Solicitors & Notaries, and Professor Frank Fu, HKBU Associate Vice-President.
