A team of four BBA students, Keith Cheng (Finance, Year 3), Sky Wang (Accounting, Year 3), Steven Yiu (Applied Economics, Year 3) and Jack Yu (Accounting, Year 3), recently won the third prize in the University Student category of the SCMP/IFPHK Financial Planner Awards 2015.

The winning team expressed their sincere gratitude to their coaches Dr Astrophel Choo, Lecturer of the Department of Finance and Decision Sciences, and Mr Lam Sui-wah, Teaching Consultant of the Department of Management, for their guidance throughout the competition.

Steven Yiu said: “Dr Astrophel Choo taught us to think from different perspectives when looking at a case. We applied the knowledge and skills that we had learnt in the classroom to provide recommendations covering multiple angles for the case study in the competition which impressed the panel of judges and led to our success.” Keith Cheng thanked Mr Lam Sui-wah for spending great efforts in polishing their presentation skills, which is a life-long asset that will stand them in good stead.
