HKBU men’s basketball team wins bronze in AXA League finals.

HKBU men’s basketball team won the Bronze award at the AXA League basketball competition finals held on 25 September after competing in many regular seasons and playoffs. In addition, Hui Huen-hang (Associate Degree, Year 2) received the title of best assist player for his outstanding performance. A total of 11 teams from tertiary institutions participated in the competitions.


Mr Warman Cheng, HKBU basketball team coach and Lecturer of the Department of Physical Education was content with the team’s performance. He said that a five-day training camp was organised during the summer on top of their regular practices twice a week, all of which helped motivate members’ morale and drive better performance. He hopes the team will continue to claim good results in upcoming competitions.

Hui Huen Hang said his performance counted on the rapport among team members.
