The Academic and Administration Building (AAB) project of the University was recently named Winner in the category of New Building Works – Client’s Representative in the Building Surveyors Awards 2015 (BSA 2015). Mr Andy Lee, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary, received the award on behalf of the University at the BSA 2015 Presentation Ceremony and Gala Dinner on 18 June.
The AAB project, strategically important for the effectuation of the four-year undergraduate curriculum, was successfully completed before the commencement of the academic year 2012-13 to provide much-needed academic, learning and office space for the University.
“With so many stakeholders involved, the Surveyor who was in charge of the project had to fully ultilise his professional knowledge and communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of the project,” said Mr Keith Yim, Chairman, Building Surveyors Awards 2015 Jury Panel (New Building Works).
BSA 2015 is an inaugural event launched by the Building Surveying Division of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors to give public recognition to preeminent projects in terms of design, innovation, management, sustainability and achievement with substantial contribution by Building Surveyors.
