The graduation exhibition of undergraduate students of the Academy of Visual Arts, displaying the work of 107 graduating students, is currently open to the public on the Kai Tak Campus. The exhibition evolves around the theme “tools” which aims to showcase the students’ creative process. The graduating students consider “tools” to be essential elements of the art-making process. It serves as inspiration and helps artists present their work. Tools also enable an artist to communicate with the audience. More than 10 awards were presented during the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Activities at the exhibition include “Artists in Dialogue: Under the Umbrella”, workshops entitled “Pinch Bowl Recording Your Hands”, “Embroidery Folder” and “Make your own shelf”, as well as sharing sessions by the judges who participated in the deliberations on the awards.
The exhibition will be held until 21 June (Sunday) from 10 am to 6 pm (Monday to Thursday) and from 10 am to 8 pm (Friday to Sunday). For details on the students’ work and reservations, please visit: https://ava.hkbu.edu.hk/en.
