The Office of Student Affairs organised the annual Student Organisation Leadership Forum cum Recognition Ceremony last Wednesday (21 May). At the event, the University presented certificates to leaders of student organisations commending their dedication to service and organising extracurricular activities over the past year. The event was attended by around 250 students from the Student Union, Postgraduate Association, hall councils, academic societies and interest clubs.
Professor Tony Mok, Li Shu Fan Medical Foundation Professor of Clinical Oncology of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, delivered a keynote speech on “How Student Leaders in the New Generation Face Stresses”. He shared effective ways of handling stresses and developing oneself to be a leader.
President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Albert Chan presented the awards and also shared with students the University’s development plan Vision 2020. In addition, the Office of Student Affairs took the opportunity to discuss with students about the renovation work of Yeung Shui-sang Building and introduce the Student Activities Fund and Service-Learning Student Activities Fund.
