Among these, the Association had supported HKBU in establishing the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association Scholarship to provide financial aid to students in need. HKBU and the Association also jointly launched an HKBU Chinese medicine clinic at the Association’s building, providing a wide range of Chinese medicine service to the community.

The remaining HK$1 million will support a clinical research project newly launched by HKBU’s School of Chinese Medicine on the efficacy of acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the treatment of dementia.
HKBU is committed to promoting the development of Chinese medicine in teaching, research, clinical service and technology. In order to provide better service to the local community, a project has been launched to ascertain and quantify the efficacy of acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the treatment of dementia, aiming to further enhance the effectiveness of the treatment based on statistics collected from clinical treatments.
