Young HKBU musicians bring festive spirit to New York audience

The Collegium Musicum Hong Kong, a chamber ensemble comprising HKBU Music students and directed by Professor Johnny Poon, Head of the Department of Music, was invited to perform a Chinese New Year Concert at the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York, USA, last week.

A full house of music lovers enjoyed the performance. The Collegium performed a number of well-known pieces to celebrate the Chinese New Year which included two Mozart symphonies as well as famous Chinese pieces.

The Collegium was also invited to perform at the spring reception held by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York.
