Zoie So is an artist specializing in materials engineering, innovative material applications, light art and photonic, electronic art, creating diverse sculptures, installations, performances and designs. Her work explores the transformative power of media to convey ideas and emotions, also the potentials of intelligent wearables, metamaterials, and mechanoluminescence.

With over twenty years of experience, Zoie's works have been exhibited in cities such as Hong Kong, Montreal, Ottawa, Milan, Ptuj, Geneva and Ålvik. Her projects include the patented City Fenestration and the commissioned public sculpture Photosynthesis in Motion at Tamar. Zoie taught at Lingnan University for twelve years before joining Hong Kong Baptist University in 2022.
