Kwan Ching finished her first Olympian journey in Marseille, France by finishing 14th in the iOFOiL event. The best finish Kwan Ching obtained in this Olympics was 3rd and she also managed to finish in the 15th and the 10th positions in another two races. Overall, she finished in the 14th position and missed out on the medal round (i.e. top 10).
In an interview with the media, Kwan Ching noted that the Olympic racing experience would help her tremendously in her training and future windsurfing endeavours. She noted that major games like the Olympics do not come by often, and she would treasure and learn from her competing experience in France and try to better herself for future races.
Kwan Ching was really pleased by earning an Olympic spot (24 in total available) for the Paris Games and had the opportunity to compete with the best windsurfers. For the next goal, Kwan Ching hopes to earn a medal in the upcoming 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China in 2025.
