Daniel, a member of the Hong Kong Para-Badminton Team (and the only one in wheelchair), previously won a bronze medal in the Badminton Men’s Singles WH2 event at the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2021. As Daniel noted earlier in the media that “The perfect way is to retire on the podium at the Paralympics,” he is determined to deliver his best performance in the 2024 Paris Games.
Earlier this year at the “Bahrain Para Badminton International 2024", Daniel won two gold medals in the WH2 men's singles event and the mixed WH1/WH2 doubles event with a Belgian player.
Serving as the Anti-Doping Ambassador of the Badminton World Federation, Daniel strongly supports the integration of the disabled and the able-bodied people. He notes that after retiring as an athlete, he will continue to spread the concept of integration in the society; and he hopes that sports for the disabled will continue to flourish in Hong Kong.
Daniel is a student majored in Physical Education & Recreation Management (PERM) at HKBU.
