This course aims to introduce the basic concepts of health psychology and to encourage students to transfer their knowledge into actions. Physical and psychological barriers often exist when university students want to adopt a healthier lifestyle (e.g. time constraint). These barriers are discussed and effective skills to eliminate these barriers are examined and practised in this course. Upon completing this course, students are expected to appreciate the importance of healthy lifestyles that involve regular exercise, balanced diets, and stress management. They also acquire the necessary skills and resources to maintain healthy lifestyle, to deal with psychological challenges, and to live a meaningful life.
