Dear students and colleagues,
We would like to advise you that a fire drill at YSS, ASH, STB and CEC has been scheduled for the week of 23 March 2026. Details of the drill are as follows:

A. Your assembly point
1. The assembly point of YSS is at the Podium 5 of William M.W. Mong Courtyard.
2. The assembly point of ASH, STB and CEC is at the Open Plaza in front of Academic Community Hall (ACH).
3. Please be familiar with the fire escape plans which are posted in the common areas of each floor and the route to the assembly point. and Deli. Thank you for your kind attention.
B. Your actions for the drill
1. When you hear a fire alarm:
a. remain calm and suspend your work/meeting/study, etc. immediately;
b. alert others, leave the building and go to the assembly point using the nearest and safe exit or staircase. DO NOT USE LIFT;
c. follow the instructions of fire captains and campus security guards who will assist during the evacuation; and
d. walk, do not run, especially when travelling on staircases.
2. When you are at the assembly point:
a. follow the signage and line up at the assembly point;
b. report to your fire captain if you find anyone missing during the roll call; and
c. do not return to the buildings until the Chief Fire Captain declares that it is safe to return to the building.
