AY2022-23 Semester 2 saw face-to-face service-learning and TriAngle@CISL events resume on full blast. Seeing our students engage with the communities in person and make a positive impact has been truly inspiring! Capacity building activities and community partnerships also sharply increased – a testament to the passion and dedication of our students, staff and partners.
And what better way to cap off such a bustling semester than with CISL’s 5th Anniversary celebration! We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved together and to celebrate with our community partners, local and non-local practitioners, students, instructors and colleagues!
This e-Newsletter also features the semester’s highlights, including a new service-learning course where undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies (TIIS) worked together to deliver language services. We are also proud to showcase a community project led by a student of the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA). The project created an open space for locals and migrant domestic helpers to collaborate, understand and support each other.
